Tobby is a modelling, texturing, rigging, animation and rendering project. Creating and rendering a realistic human toddler is always tricky and similar projects often end up looking really, really creepy. Keeping the creepiness factor to a minimum remained a persistent challenge throughout the entire development process so I had to compromise a bit of realism and made the proportions of the face a little cartoony. The final model is fully rigged, textured, comes with a wide range of facial expressions as well as actual hair. Photoshop and zbrush were used to produce the various textures while autodesk XSI was used for modelling, rigging, fur development and animation. The project was rendered in mental ray using fast skin shader.
